Slowly, But Maybe Surely...

I seem to be gettting better. Between the antibiotics and z-pack, something seems to be working. Having a little trouble with exhaustion, but I'm working on it.

I'm just a little frustrated with life right now. My hours at work got cut to 32/week (all hourly employees), so that puts me in a bit of a crunch. But, I guess I'll have to make it work somehow, and with a little help (thank you Mom & Dad!).

It's kind of hard being alone again. I got really used to being around my family and Nate. Luckily, Nate will be here on the 8th for a couple days.

Not much else new, almost my birthday.

Love Always,

Kaitlin

Stupid Immune System

Because of the radiation, my immune system is shot. I managed to get a sinus infection somewhere between Madison and Steamboat. Gotta love the airport germ factories. So, I'm just trying to get better between laying on the couch and attempting to go to work sometimes. I feel pretty good in the middle of the day, it's just the mornings and the nights when my sinuses just throb.

Come on antibiotics!

It's good to be back in Steamboat, though! But kind of weird being alone again. I got kind of used to being around people all the time, and now I'm only around people when I'm at work really.

After a bunch of days of 60 degree weather, we're getting snowed on again. Which is good for the slopes, I guess they were getting kinda slushy. I was supposed to go skiing this past weekend, but sinus infection got in the way. So, I'm just hoping to be better by closing weekend so I can ski with Nate.

That's all for now!

Love Always,

Kaitlin

Back in the 'Boat

Hello from beautiful Steamboat Springs!

I am back to my apartment and back to work. It's nice getting back into the swing of things. I'm starting to feel better too.

Here's a few things from week 6 and last week:

Last Day! Treatment is over :)
Ringing the bell to signal that I completed my radiation

I donated A FOOT of hair to Locks of Love. My hair was just getting too thin to be that long.
Here's the new cut
Nate and I spent a lovely afternoon and evening on State Street in Madison.
We went to the Comedy Club and laughed our butts off! I definitely want to do that again.
Not much else is new, just trying to get back to life.
Love Always,
Kaitlin

I'm Still Alive

I promise, I'm still alive!

I have been at home in Somerset, and now I'm in Madison with Nate. I'll be flying back to Steamboat tomorrow afternoon.

More on my last week and everything when I get back!

Love Always,

Kaitlin
